How should I frame my print?
Upon arrival your print should remain in its mailer for protection until it goes to the framer.
If in a tube mailer please either take to the framer directly or allow the rolled print to flatten out by itself over a few days, and handle with care!
Some prints are standard sizes and can be framed in ready-to-frame store bought frames. Others are in non standard sizes and so will need to be professionally framed. Please make use of your local community framer and allow them to advise you of the best way to show the artwork, they are the professionals.
I frame all my original works using natural Tasmanian Oak.
Watercolours on panels are framed without glass in a style known as built up, which leaves a shadow line around the edge.
Watercolours on paper I frame in the same Tasmanian Oak, with an off white matt board, and Art Glass. This is a special type of framing glass which is UV resistant and is non reflective.
